About Our Pieces
For day-to-day cleaning use a soft cloth and metal suitable cleaner. Do not use abrasives on the surface as this can remove the finish and damage the piece.
As with most metal items you may see some tarnishing over time, but it's easy to renew the metal with a suitable metal cleaner such as Brasso.
Bronze should not be washed in a dishwasher.
Yes! In fact bronze is naturally antibacterial and antiviral. People have been using bronze utensils and tableware for thousands of years.
We use the lost-wax process. This is an ancient method of casting that has been in use for thousands of years. First a wax copy of the original is made, this is encased in plaster before being baked. The wax flows out of the plaster jacket, leaving a negative space which is filled with molten bronze.
All of our pieces are handmade. From the mould, all the way through to finishing and patina. Each stage is a skilled craft in its own right and requires years of practice.

We make everything ourselves from scratch in our Birmingham foundry. Plated items are finished in the nearby Jewellery Quarter, less than 5 miles away.
